I just realized today that the last time I updated my blog about my running progress was 7 weeks ago! I'm sure you don't really care about how much I run. This really is mainly for me. Something to help motivate me and even look back on and remember the work I put into training.
The training schedule I picked is a long one. It very slowly ups my mileage every 2 weeks. Brett and I have VERY busy lives. It's exhausting, but we enjoy being busy. This doesn't leave a lot of time to train right now though, so getting 3 or 4 runs in a week is big.
This Saturday (Oh crap that's in 2 days!) I hit double digits in my long run. I have only done a 10 mile run ONCE before. I'm nervous and excited! I am praying the weather is nice enough this Saturday so I can run it outside instead of on the treadmill...in the gym...which is horribly boring.
I have been able to keep up with my schedule, so I hope that this one extra mile will be a smooth transition!
Anyone else training for some kind of run?? Marathon? Half? 10K? 5K?

ReplyDeleteI started running last summer! We're not signed up for any big runs yet, but I hope to do a half in the fall. Good for you if you can run 10 on the treadmill..I can't do more than 3 on the treadmill before I die of boredom!! haha
